Fashion designer Kostas Murkudis and designer duo Esther and Dimitrios Tsatsas have joined forces on a long-term collaborative project based on their common love for materials, cuts and proportions. SESSION 01 is a collection of garments and bags, handcrafted in Germany and based on two contrasting materials: Delicate French lace and natural Scandinavian calfskin.
The sleeveless top combines smooth calfskin leather and finest cotton lace, and is offering different ways of wearing it. Its cut was designed without a predefined front and back, so that the wearer can decide which part of the body is to show the concealing effect of the leather or the transparency of the lace, manufactured in the town of Caudry, France, by a family business with more than 130 years of tradition. This contrasting effect of translucency and density is emphasised by the use of two different colours of the materials.
