Fashion designer Kostas Murkudis and designer duo Esther and Dimitrios Tsatsas have joined forces on a long-term collaborative project based on their common love for materials, cuts and proportions. SESSION 01 is a collection of garments and bags, handcrafted in Germany and based on two contrasting materials: Delicate French lace and natural Scandinavian calfskin.
The interaction between transparency and density defines the cut of this midi dress. Soft calfskin leather and finest cotton lace, manufactured in the town of Caudry, France, by a family business with more than 130 years of tradition, have been combined to form distinctive ways of wearing. The dress was designed with no predefined front and back, so that the wearer can decide whether to show the transparency of the lace or the concealing effect of the leather at the back or the front. Sophisticated details in the cut emphasise the hemline and the shoulders of the dress and create an extraordinary silhouette.
