Fashion designer Kostas Murkudis and designer duo Esther and Dimitrios Tsatsas have joined forces on a long-term collaborative project based on their common love for materials, cuts and proportions. SESSION 01 is a collection of garments and bags, handcrafted in Germany and based on two contrasting materials: Delicate French lace and natural Scandinavian calfskin.
Subtle cotton lace forms the body of this tote bag, its transparency and lightweight feel is key to the design. The minimalist shape of the rectangular bag allows the material to be experienced in all its beauty. Manufactured in the town of Caudry, France, in a family business with more than 130 years of tradition, the fine lace lends the bag a sense of effortlessness that is emphasised by the contrast of handcrafted handles made of Scandinavian calfskin.
