Fashion designer Kostas Murkudis and designer duo Esther and Dimitrios Tsatsas have joined forces on a long-term collaborative project based on their common love for materials, cuts and proportions. SESSION 01 is a collection of garments and bags, handcrafted in Germany and based on two contrasting materials: Delicate French lace and natural Scandinavian calfskin.
This bandeau top combines smooth lamb nappa and fine cotton lace to create an extravagant garment that can be worn in different ways thanks to its versatile fastening – either directly on the skin, over a blouse or under a blazer. While the front part is made of soft leather, the back features wide lace straps that can be tied in different ways and emphasise the beauty of the delicate material, which is manufactured in the town of Caudry, France, in a family business with more than 130 years of tradition.
The bandeau is accented by an innovative bonding technique that is elaborately handcrafted in Germany: The cotton lace is bonded by hand between two layers of lamb nappa, to highlight the delicate three-dimensional structure of the lace embedded in the leather.
